Adaware Review – Does Adaware Really Work?

Adaware, a product from cybersecurity firm Lavasoft, (formerly known as Ad-Aware) It is designed to stop the kinds of rogue apps and privacy invasions of which a lot of consumers are not aware. Adaware is a collection of programs that track your browsing patterns, courses that alter the browser’s start page, and apps that display irritating advertisements at the worst times. The program is free and comes with many additional features to boost security and ensure your device runs smoothly.

In our tests, adaware was able to identify the majority of the malware we tossed at it. However, it was unable to assist in getting rid of some malware. The program does have numerous useful extras such as a privacy monitor a registry scanner, a file shredder and advanced network monitoring. It’s important to note, however, that Adaware doesn’t offer the same level of protection as some of industry’s leading antivirus tools.

The last time adaware was a participant in AV-Test lab tests, it managed to block only ninety five. The 4% of risks that are 0-day and 97% known risks. They’re not terrible, but they certainly don’t come close to what the most powerful security suites do.

People who want adsware to work better, should consider the alternatives. We suggest Kaspersky, Bitdefender and others due to their reliability during real-world testing. Some users may be disappointed that only users of the Pro and Total plans have access to online customer and technical support. The company does provide various information and frequently asked questions on its website, though.
